NSW rookie Dan Christian almost made a embarrassing first ball exit in his debut for the Blues in the Ford Ranger Cup clash against South Australia. A nervous Christian played and missed his first delivery, then walked out of his crease, as quick-thinking Redbacks keeper Graham Manou tossed the ball back onto the stumps. The third umpire must have been feeling generous because Christian was given the benefit of the doubt. Christian settled to make 38 off 41 balls, but the day belonged to another youngster Cameron Borgas, who smashed 20 off the last over to win the game for the Redbacks.
