A REFRESHED Tasmania are confident conditions are ripe to beat Victoria in today's Ford Ranger Cup final and become the first host team in eight years to win the domestic limited-overs competition.

The road-weary Bushrangers have been forced to endure a heavy schedule leading into the final at Bellerive Oval while the Tigers are relatively fresh and injury-free.

Victorian paceman Peter Siddle (shoulder) has been ruled out after missing his side's comprehensive 64-run win over NSW in the day-nighter at the SGC on Wednesday.

Tigers captain Dan Marsh (pictured) believes playing at home will be a "huge advantage", despite the fact Western Australia was the last team to win a domestic one-day final as host - against Queensland in 1999-00.
