Industry news — Chris Rowlan Joins the Ranger Family

Ranger has welcomed industry leader Chris Rowlan to the family as a Technical Sales Specialist.  With over 20 years’ experience in industrial sales and service, Chris is a well-known and respected face in lifting and rigging in the Sydney and Wollongong region.

Chris brings a wealth of expertise and understanding to the Ranger team having previously held roles in inspections, scheduling, sales, and regional and operational management.

Joining a strong and growing team in NSW, he will be tasked with delivering a high level of customer service and technical support to existing clients as well as pioneering Ranger’s expansion in Wollongong. Having been based in Wollongong for most of his career,  he brings a plethora of understanding and knowledge of the local area.

Chris, boasts unparalleled knowledge in coal mining as well as wire rope, towing and height safety solutions. He said: “it just felt like the right time to enter back into the lifting industry. I’ve stayed in contact with Ashley since I began my career, and I was excited about Ranger’s growth and wanted to be a part of the team. I knew it was time for the next challenge and having worked with some of the team before, it seemed like a natural progression. I’ve known some of these guys for over 15 years.”

Ashley Thacker, General Manager of Ranger said “Chris brings a lot of mining and industrial experience which is an area where we are seeing huge growth. I’ve known Chris for a long time and he’s a great guy and a great fit for us. It’s not easy getting good staff but when you know someone perfect the job, you try as hard as you can to get them onboard.”

Chris has joined the team during Ranger’s ‘season of planning’ and has already been tasked with leading several team strategy sessions. Chris states “I am very customer solutions driven. It’s a big thing for me and I love how Ranger innovate and think outside box in terms of lifting solutions for clients.
