A turnbuckle is a type of rigging device used to adjust tension and reduce slack in a rope, cable, or similar tensioning assembly. The most common grades of steel that Turnbuckles and Rigging Screws are made out of are Grade L, Grade P, Grade S and commercial grade. Commercial grade is not designed for lifting.
